GE GeoSpring DEEJS / DFEJS (2015–2016) error code F17
What it means
Empty Tank or Anode Rod Wired Incorrectly (some models). The anode rod is not connected properly and the water heater may not be protected from corrosion. (Also displayed on power-up after an Aluminum-Zinc anode rod is installed, until the sensing feature is disabled.)
What GE says to do
Check that the tank is filled completely with water. If the tank is full of water and the F17 code persists, contact GE Appliances service. Press anode button to silence alarm.
