What Rheem says to do

These steps involve electrical testing or parts replacement. Rheem's manuals tell owners to leave that work to a qualified service technician.

1. Disconnect power to unit. 2. Check wiring connection to heating element. 3. Ensure both wires are properly connected at element and board. 4. Check ohm reading on heating element if wires are properly connected. 5. Of acceptable ohm reading is present, replace board. If not, replace element.
